Summary of Role  

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Learning & Development and HR Administrator to support the delivery of learning and development activities across the Institute while also providing general administrative support to the Human Resources team.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting training activities, maintaining accurate learning records, supporting employee development initiatives and ensuring a positive employee experience through efficient administration and communication.

This role is ideally suited to an individual who enjoys working with data, systems and processes, while also building strong working relationships across the organisation.


Key Responsibilities  

Learning & Development Administration

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee training and development queries.

  • Coordinate and administer all learning and development activities across the organisation.

  • Manage the training request process, ensuring requests are tracked and progressed in a timely manner.

  • Maintain accurate learning and training records within the Learning Management System (LMS) and other HR systems.

  • Support the administration and ongoing maintenance of the organisation's LMS.

  • Schedule training events, webinars and development programmes.

  • Liaise with employees, managers, HR Business Partners and external training providers regarding training requirements and bookings.

  • Raise purchase orders, process invoices and track training expenditure against budget.

  • Coordinate attendance, participation records and completion reporting for all learning activities.

  • Produce regular reports and analysis on training activity, participation, completion rates and learning metrics.

  • Monitor mandatory training completion and issue reminders where required.

  • Assist in evaluating training effectiveness through surveys, feedback and reporting.

  • Promote learning and development initiatives through internal communications and awareness campaigns.

  • Support the onboarding process by coordinating learning activities for new employees.


HR Administration

  • Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team.

  • Support recruitment administration, including interview scheduling and candidate communications.

  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

  • Support HR projects and initiatives as required.

  • Assist in the preparation of HR reports, dashboards and management information.

  • Maintain HR documentation, policies, procedures and templates.

  • Support employee engagement activities and organisational initiatives.

  • Ensure all HR records are managed in line with company policies and GDPR requirements.

  • Undertake other duties as required by the Head of Human Resources and Organisational Development.

Education and Experience

Essential

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in an administrative, HR, learning and development or business support role.

  • Experience coordinating activities, managing records and maintaining accurate data.

  • Experience working with Excel and producing reports.

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.


Desirable

  • Experience working in a professional services or membership organisation environment.
